The LEGIONAR trilogy is an honest and direct account of service in the French Foreign Legion — of a man who left everything familiar in search of something he could not buy: himself.
Of trials that break something in a man.
Of comradeship that keeps him standing.
And of a road that leaves him changed.
The environment is not scenery. In the trilogy, places reveal what a man carries, endures and only later understands.
Three books. One literary arc.
The trilogy is not divided this way by chance. Each book carries its own inner weight: the beginning of the road, the measure of service, and the line that reveals where a man stands.
BOOK 2
Mera
Demanding training, field exercises, military interventions, Iraq 1991 and Bosnia. At its centre is the measure of responsibility, judgement, risk and restraint in conditions where decisions are revealed through action.
BOOK 3
Črta
After years of service, missions, responsibility and experience, there comes a moment when a line has to be drawn. What is tested is no longer only endurance, but also direction, stance, and the judgement to know when a period has truly come to an end.
Publication of the trilogy
The LEGIONAR trilogy is first being published in Slovenian as a complete literary arc. The first book is expected in early summer 2026, the second will follow in autumn 2026, and the third is planned for early 2027. Translations into French and English are planned for a later stage.
